The 1423 override code routes the call via the local exchange through to the ICRnet network, so that you can make calls via ICRnet's network. Do I have to dial an override code for all my calls? At this stage, You will need to dial the 1423 override code for all your national, fixed to mobile and international calls, otherwise your current service provider (eg Telstra, AAPT) will charge them for any calls made. What about if I move? If you move and your service number changes then you will need to notify us so this in turn can be updated via the Online Customer Centre. Can Message Bank still be used? Yes, this and all other services you have with your current service provider will remain active after registering for ICRnet's override service. What is a flagfall? Just like taxis, telecommunications companies charge a flagfall to cover the cost of making the initial connection. However, if the call is not answered, no flagfall will be charged. |
